The goal of the Workshop is to provide a forum for states, industry, code proponents and stakeholder groups involved in the advocacy, adoption, implementation, enforcement, and use of building energy codes with an opportunity to further learn about energy codes and to network with their peers. The annual Workshop is the only building energy codes conference of its kind. The Workshop provides face-to-face networking through formal and informal presentations allowing states and other stakeholders to share code-related challenges and code-related successes. As part of the Workshop experience, building tours of Jefferson University and the Kimmel Center are being offered as a Pre-Workshop activity on July 19th from 8:00-12:00. The purpose of the tour is to demonstrate real world applications of energy efficient technologies, equipment and systems management to attendees to complement the information discussed during various Workshop sessions. Buildings that have a unique or visually interesting draw, such as a particular type of technology or piece of equipment, are ideal.
